Hand Carved Boxes
These pieces are made from unique solid blocks of wood, handcarved with a mallet and chisel, or have handcarved tops on constructed bases. We do not turn wood on a lathe. The insides of solid-block carved boxes are slightly rough, as it is exceedingly difficult to finish the insides perfectly. The carved out inside of the boxes is quite a bit smaller than the outside dimensions. If you would like a photo of the inside space of any of these boxes, please contact us.

This Box is handmade and is one-of-a-kind. The tope is smooth and gorgeous to the touch- it took days to get that finish! There is a subtle carved curve to the inside as well as a surprise when you open it. This is a sculptural piece of art.

Handcarved two-tone hardwood box (probably Texas ebony) on maple and wenge base. Top has magnet closure.

This box is handmade and is one-of-a-kind. The grain of the wood is really beautiful, and natural knot below where the top rests on the base is reminiscent of a keyhole. Most people don't realize this is a box because it is so sculptural.
The inside is slightly rough as it is hand-hollowed.
