We love making an erotic box to donate to the Octopus Club's Art Erotica event each year. We started thinking about this box immediately after we made last year's. So without further ado, please look below the "read more" break to see this year's box, which is graphic. If you're going to clutch your pearls and cluck over nasty bits, go somewhere else.
 | It's our "Glory" box! Yes, that's a large, anatomically correct penis in a lovely shade of purple, cast in glass using the lost wax method. Below are some pictures of us finishing the wax piece (we were polishing the knob for real), and molding it in plaster for preparation in casting the glass. The glass piece sits in a black epoxy "hole" in the lid of a gorgeous mahogany box with black and white leather lining in a lovely hole-esque pattern. Remember, peeps, if you want to buy this box (and who doesn't?) you can bid for it at the Art Erotica party and fundraiser- I do believe you can do it online if you can't attend the event. All proceeds go to emergency funding for people in Central Texas with HIV/AIDS. And also remember that this is art glass, made for enjoying with your eyes and hands only! |
